Protects the 42MT in adverse starting conditions, such as cold weather cranking, low battery capacity, high starting circuit resistance, or operator misuse. A temperature sensitive circuit breaker prevents overcrank heat damage and automatically resets after the motor cools to a safe temperature. Pinion-to-ring gear engagement prior to cranking minimizing milled ring gears and pinions. A seamless, one-piece solenoid case and totally enclosed shift mechanism with “O” ring seals prevent water entry. Special alloys used in the solenoid contact disk and in the four one-piece brushes gives exceptional service life.
